A powerful EF3 tornado with winds up to 165 mph ripped through parts of Little Rock, Arkansas, causing widespread destruction and leaving at least 27 people dead statewide. The tornado stayed on the ground for about 20 to 25 miles and was one of many tornadoes that touched down and wrecked multiple cities across the area. Recovery efforts from many volunteer organizations are underway with workers using chainsaws to cut fallen trees and bulldozers moving material from shattered structures.
